How to Navigate in the Map
To give travellers a general picture of road network conditions and plan their trips more efficiently, the ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) screens the information presented on this map. Therefore, certain secondary roads under the MTQ’s responsibility or certain road work with little or no repercussions on traffic do not appear on the map..
The themes are not all displayed when the map range is on the common scale. It is possible to view them by increasing the scale of the map. To do so, double-click on it with the left mouse button or use one of the following tools:

To consult the map, you must position the cursor on the icon or as close as possible to the desired map location and click on the left mouse button. An information window appears. The following information may be presented in this window:
- the name of the region of the chosen location;
- in winter, the number of the selected road, accompanied by the description of the road condition. If no road condition is available on the road at the chosen location, the route marker of that road will be displayed;
- in the case of road work, the hindrance and the location of the work in progress;
- in the case of a ferry, the municipalities served and the status of the service (in service or not);
- in the case of a border crossing, the name of this crossing and the waiting time at the border to the United States or Canada;
- in the case of a traffic camera, the image displayed by this camera, which is updated every 5 to 7 minutes;
- in the case of a wayside park, the hyperlink to the description of the services offered.
For more detailed information, just click on the route marker of a highway or freeway, the icon displayed or one of the hyperlinks appearing in the information window.
